Hi, I'm EMMYloid!

— What is Synthing B?

Synthing B is the world's most powerful singing synthesizer. It was created by Intënet Kò in collaboration with AHSings!, ZiëoJi, and developed alongside their parent company, YamaHÒ. Its signal processing part was developed through a joint research project led by Ariana García in 2020 and was not originally intended to be a full commercial project. Backed by YamaHÒ, it developed the software into the commercial product "Synthing B" which was released in 2020.

The software enables users to synthesize "singing" by typing in lyrics and melody. It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics. A piano roll type interface is used to input the melody and the lyrics can be entered on each note. The software can change the stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice.

Voices Currently Available for Synthing B: EMMYloid_B, AMYloid_SPY

⸻ VERSIONS ⸻

There are currently two versions of Synthing B released, B1.0™ and B2.0™. The technology in Synthing B is based off a synthesis engine designed by YamaHÒ. The synth engine, named Synthing B, was used in the production of Synthing B2.0™, but has since been improved by Intënet Kò and is likely to be the main engine for future versions of Synthing B. The technology behind Synthing B has also been patented by YamaHÒ.

The original Synthing B1.0™ software, formerly "Synthing B™", featured 8 individual voices of virtual singers: HYPNOloid, HELGAloid, GAMERgirl_XOBXlive, PRESCHOOLpod_FEMALE, PRESCHOOLpod_MALE, TITANIUM, Kaiol, and TuTuび.

The PRESCHOOLpod SERIES has been replaced by SchoolPOD_B for Synthing B2.0™, and have been effectively discontinued — YamaHÒ requests users to refrain from downloading the PRESCHOOLpod SERIES; but if you really desire them, then download.

GAMERgirlXOBXlive has been permanently discontinued after attempting to blackmail AnnieVOX and implement her own vocal synthesizer, "Vocaline", without the Y.A.S.S Protocol (Your Account Safely Secured). The download is gone.

Information about other products are currently unavailable due to undisclosed reasons.

Synthing B2.0™ features three different voices of virtual singers (SchoolPOD_B, EMMYloid_B, AMYloid_SPY) and extra presets of effects to change the tone and dynamics of the singing. In addition, Synthing B2.0™ allows users to export their songs as MP3s or WAV files.

The software's release was a surprise to users and was met with positive reception. On its first day of release, it sold more than 6 million copies worldwide. Synthing B's popularity does not seem to be dwindling. There is a rumor that Synthing B2.0™ was the most popular product of 2020; it is speculated that Synthing B surpassed other popular products that were launched that year, such as the "MePAD". The vocal synthesizer has made its mark on the music industry and the synthesis market.

Synthing B was also slated to receive a new AI update in the form of Synthing B AI developed by EMMYloid in 2020, but it was cancelled fairly early into development. In 2021, Synthing B2.0™ received an upgrade to Synthing B2 AI. Multiple additional vocalists were rumored to be in the works for the software, but none of them were officially announced other than EMMYloid and AMYloid. It was not confirmed by YamaHÒ or Intënet Kò if any other existing vocalists, such as the PRESCHOOLpod SERIES or SchoolPOD_B, GAMERgirl_XOBXlive, HYPNOloid or HELGAloid, would be receiving updates for this new engine. However, it was stated that any plans for a GAMERgirl_XOBXlive AI voicebank had been halted.

One year later, in 2022, EMMYloid announced her new "Synthing B AI4U" engine, and provided a demonstration on her Twitter. It is unknown if Synthing B AI4U will recieve other vocalists, or if EMMYloid was the only vocalist planned for the engine, being that she was developing it herself and not explicitly under YamaHÒ. EMMYloid has officially stated that Synthing B AI4U is "refreshed, and modern," as well as "the sounds of the future." This has been met with mixed reception, with some even stating that Synthing B AI4U will ultimately replace Synthing B2.0™. YamaHÒ has yet to make any statements or comments regarding the AI4U project. The only vocalist known to be affiliated with the Synthing B AI4U engine is EMMYloid, and she has yet to confirm whether or not Synthing B2.0™ is compatible with Synthing B AI4U.

EMMY has also shown off a teaser for a currently unrevealed project titled "EMMYVoice." It is unknown what the project will entail, but it is speculated that it will ultimately redefine how we utilize vibrato in vocal synthesis. There is a possibility that a new vocal synthesizer based upon Synthing B is coming, but it is highly speculated to be unrelated to Synthing B and will use its own engine.

EMMYloid has since shown fair interest in CeVOX synthesis, possibly leading to EMMYloid's return to Intënet Kò and RPME in the future. "EmmyVOX" is an officially established trademark filed under the application number 87992361 by RPME Co., and there is currently no public project named "EmmyVOX" by RPME or any of its competitors. It is possible that the trademark is in relation to the "CeVOX" project. There is currently no official statement regarding EMMY's new CeVOX database, or the possibility of a new product called "EmmyVOX" by Intënet Kò and/or RPME Co. The trademark was submitted in January 2022 and was finally published in February 2022. There is still speculation that there will be an eventual announcement from RPME Co., but this is yet to be verified.

The software is available on several platforms such as MeOS, MePAD, AnniePUTER, CeVOX Calcolano, Windows, Mac, and even mobile; some versions can even be obtained for free, such as in the case of Synthing B1.0™. It can be used by people of all ages — the only exception being those who are under the age of 1. It is intended to be a "family friendly" product, with little to no content for mature audiences. Synthing B is available worldwide, but there are some restrictions on sales depending on the region. The technology that powers Synthing B is incredibly advanced and has been designed in the utmost precision. When the software was created, the developers stated that this was the most advanced piece of synthesizer technology in the world. They also stated that they did not anticipate any other software ever being able to surpass Synthing B. It has received positive reception from both critics and customers alike. Many users have cited the software as one of the most innovative, groundbreaking, and enjoyable synthesizers they've ever used. It has a 5 star rating on numerous review websites such as MeOS's App Store, the Windows App Store, the Mac App Store, and the Play Store. This is a testament to the software's quality. The software has been translated into many languages. It is currently available in English, Arianese, Japanese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Korean. Other languages have been tested, but were not released; such as the test versions for Arabic, Swedish, Dutch, Hindi, and Turkish.

The vocalists of Synthing B have been extremely successful, and Synthing B has launched the careers of a plethora of virtual vocalists — many of whom are currently signed to Intënet Kò and RPME Co. They have also been very successful, with their songs amassing millions of views and plays across a wide variety of platforms. Synthing B has also been responsible for a surge in interest of musical artists using synthesized vocals, which has led to the rise of virtual vocalists. Many virtual vocalists, even those without their own vocal synthesizers, have made their mark on the industry. Most notably, the rise of virtual vocalists has led to the creation of two new virtual vocalists who have ascended to popularity — EMMYloid and AMYloid. Both of them have become icons in the world of synthesized vocals. The success of the vocalists has led to an expansion of the scope of the project, as Intënet Kò has been able to utilize other vocalists in their marketing. The software has also led to the rise of a large number of vocal synthesizers — there have been numerous vocal synthesizers which have been created in the past few years, with the most notable ones being "Vocaline", "CeVOX", "VOXILINA", "DYNATRONIC STUDIO", "StudioVIO NB", "Synthesizer V", "Piapro NT", "VoiVoice", "PaintVoice", "VOCALOID4", "VOCALOID5", "VOCALOID6", "CeVIO AI", "Symphoneme", "SYNSYSIZER", and "VoicePad". Some vocal synthesizers even use technology directly derived from Synthing B, such as "CeVOX", previously known as "SceVAX", "SceYASS", and "SeVAX". These vocal synthesizers have their own unique vocalists and voices. Synthing B has also led to the rise of several prominent individuals within the voice synthesis industry, such as EMMYloid and AMYloid.

Synthing B gave way to the existence of CeVOX which has branched off into having multiple of its own series of vocalists. With YamaHÒ being silent on the matter, there has been much speculation on what the company has in store for their flagship product Synthing B. With the introduction of EMMYloid to RPME Co., it is possible that an upgrade to CeVOX for EMMYloid will eventually come out. EMMYloid will likely implement CeVOX technology, alongside her own "Synthing B AI4U" engine which she has been designing for a while now. The next upgrade will likely focus on the software's AI, and it is highly speculated that a new product based on Synthing B will come out in the near future.

~ Synthing B has been hailed as one of the most successful products ever released, due to its revolutionary and innovative vocal synthesizing technology. — The Future of Synthing B?

As of now, Synthing B's future is uncertain. With the introduction of Synthing B AI4U and EMMYVoice, it is not clear whether or not Synthing B2.0™ will receive an update anytime soon. There is also speculation that the product might go "out of business" since there is little to no information about new vocals in development for the program. There are a few possibilities to explain the lack of updates to Synthing B:

  • The lack of updates for the program is caused by RPME Co. and their focus on developing their new synthesizer program CeVOX. This would be a valid explanation as information about the program has been rather quiet for a while, with only sporadic updates. This would be the most logical reason for the lack of updates to Synthing B.
  • YamaHÒ is not interested in pursuing any more vocalists for Synthing B. This would be another likely reason for why the program has been quiet for a while. This explanation is quite possible, considering that the software has not recieved any new vocalists in a long time, and increasingly less vocalists have been supported on newer versions of the software.
  • The lack of support for Synthing B is caused by the lack of demand. This would be an unlikely explanation, considering that the synthesizer is quite popular in many communities. It is also known that YamaHÒ is a multinational company, with many subsidiaries around the world. It is unlikely that the program would lose support due to lack of demand, considering the popularity of Synthing B.
  • The lack of support for Synthing B is caused by the high cost of licensing, developing and/or updating the software. This could be a likely explanation, considering that the program uses technology that is is quite lucrative. It is also likely that the program would not be unsupported due to high cost of licensing, considering that YamaHÒ is a multinational company, with many subsidiaries around the world.
